Visitation: Friday at 4:00 p.m. until time of service Saturday at the funeral home.

Services for Mrs. Velda Glenn will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, August 2, 2008, at the chapel of Hixson Brothers, Pineville with Reverends Travis Glenn and Calvin Cantrell officiating. Burial will be at Frazier Cemetery, Prospect, LA.

Mrs. Glenn, 76, of Colfax, passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2008, in Rapides Regional Medical Center, Alexandria.

She was a member of Hudson Creek Baptist Church and WMU. Mrs. Glenn worked as a physical therapist aide at Pinecrest Developmental.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Huey P. Glenn; parents, David and Alma Maddox Murrell; sister, Marie Walker.

Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Donny Glenn and wife Theresa of Pineville, Ricky Glenn and wife Christine of Jonesville, Doug Glenn and wife Paige of Boyce; daughters, Denise Slayter and husband Rick of Colfax, Renee Brown and husband Charles of Pineville; sixteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Friday, August 1, 2008, at Hixson Brothers, Pineville, from 4:00 p.m. until service time Saturday.
