CRUM, VELMA ACHORD
Died at 1:40 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 17, 1982, at Baton Rouge General Hospital. She was 78, a native of Ascension Parish and resident of Baton Rouge.
Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., Monday from 4 to 10 p.m. Visiting Tuesday from 8 a.m. until religious services at 1 p.m., conducted by Brother Everette Kessler. Burial in Roselawn Memorial Park.
Survived by a daughter, Mrs. Shelby (Elan) Miller, Plaquemine; a son, Jack L. Crum, Greenville, S.C.; three sisters, Mrs. Burris (Ruth) Porrier and Mrs. Marguerite LeBlanc, both of Gonzales, and Mrs. Pete (Leola) Ledet, Thibodaux; a brother, L.V. Achord, Gonzales; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Preceded in death by her husband, Loiet ``Doc'' Crum Sr.; and three sons, Loiet Crum Jr., Lawrence and Elvin Crum.
She was a member of Istrouma Church of Christ.
