Mrs. Velma Katherine Mosley, age 82 of Chatham, died Sunday, April 29, 2012 at the Jackson Parish Hospital following a brief illness.

Friends may visit with the family 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at Southern Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday at the Chatham Cemetery with Reverend Freeman Crain officiating. Interment will be in Chatham Cemetery.

Survivors include sons, Larry W. Mosley and wife Sharon of Jonesboro, Eric Mosley of Chatham, Kevin Mosley and wife Cathy of Chatham; grandchildren, Lisa Mosley, Terry Campbell, April Simonelli, Mandy Robertson, Kevin Mosley, Kyle Mosley, Karl Mosley; 6 Great-Grandchildren; sister, Bernice Mosley and a host of neices, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Mosley was preceded in death by husband, Elmer Mosley; daughter, Wanda Campbell; son Murdock Mosley; parents, William Washington Hearn and Ida Melvinia (Fordham) Hearn.

Family members will serve as pallbearers.
