Veloice (Vinky) Pepper

BOSSIER CITY -- Services for Veloice Pepper will be 1:30 p.m. Friday, July 8, 2011 at Rose-Neath' Bossier Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. George Allen (Toby) Frake. Interment will be at Hill Crest Cemetery, Haughton, LA. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday, July 7, 2011 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Bossier City.

She was born Veloice (Vinky) Valentine on July 24, 1921 and went to be with the Lord July 5, 2011 at the age of 89. ``I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.'' 2 Timothy 4:7. Full of love with a servant's heart for others, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was an active Bell South Pioneer and loved her many volunteer roles before her long struggle with Alzheimer's.

She is preceded in death by her husband, James Herbert Pepper; daughter, Lillie Faye Droke; grandson, Christopher Droke and siblings, Nann Valentine, Lollie Galloway, Mickie Fall and Woodrow Valentine.

She is survived by her daughter and caregiver, Elaine Connell; sister, Charlotte Worley; grandchildren, Wendy Droke, Bridget Mann and Lisa Balcerzak and great grandchildren, Kody, Kory and Brianna Mann, Kaitlyn and Brian Droke and Emily, Abby and Matthew Balcerzak.

Honoring her as pallbearers will be Jim Mann, Kody Mann, Kory Mann, and Michael Edwards.
