Mrs. Vendaria Lee Parker

Benson, NC -- Mrs. Vendaria Lee Parker, age 83, of Benson died Saturday at Liberty Commons Nursing and Rehabilitation of Johnston County. Funeral services will be 11:00AM Tuesday at the Rose & Graham Funeral Home Chapel in Benson. Officiating will be Rev. Glenn McCullen. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Dunn.
Mrs. Parker was born January 2, 1927 in Johnston County to the late Randall C. and Gertie Raynor Lee. Mrs. Parker was also preceded in death by husband, Dallas W. Parker; sisters, Naomi Johnson and Alma Ruth Jernigan, and brothers, R. C. Lee, Jr., and Robert E. Lee. She was employed at Block Industries for 23 years. She was the bookkeeper for the Dunn-Benson Drag Strip where she also ran a concession stand. Mrs. Parker was a homemaker and a member of the Benson Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church.
Survivors include: Sisters & Brothers-in-Law, Rachel & Dwight Denning of Benson, Janice & Donald Campbell of Dunn, and Louise & James Hammer of Fayetteville; Sisters-In-Law, Alva Lee and Vila Mae Lee both of Benson; Special Niece, Judy Strickland of Dunn; several Nieces and Nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:00PM to 8:00PM Monday at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson, and other times at the home of Dwight & Rachel Denning, 1487 Benson-Hardee Road, Benson, NC.
