Miss Burkhalter Dies at Home Of Kin in Waco
Miss Vera Burkhalter, a resident of San Antonio for the past 30 years, died at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at the home of her brother and sister, Frank E. Burkhalter and Miss Ina Burkhalter, 514 North Thirtieth Street in Waco.
She had been ill since last September but came to live with her Waco relatives only two weeks ago.
Miss Burkhalter was born in Freestone County and lived in Hill County before moving to San Antonio. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of San Antonio.
Funeral services will be held at Wilkirson Hatch Chapel at 4 p.m. Thursday, Dr. W. W. Melton officiating. Burial will be in Waco Memorial park.
Survivors include her sister, Miss Ina Burkhalter of Waco, and two brothers, Frank E. Burkhalter of Waco and J. C. Burkhalter of Amarillo.
