Vera Leota Hendrex

Vera Leota Hendrex passed away January 25, 2014 in her residence in Kingwood, Texas. She was 97 years old, born May 8 1916 in Forest Hill, Louisiana to Gertude and George Johnson, Sr. Vera married D.L. (Babe) Hendrex, Sr. in 1937. They were married for 42 years before his death in 1979.
She is survived by her two sons, John D. Hendrex, Sr. and D. L. Hendrex, Jr., her four grandchildren, John D. Hendrex, Jr., Jeffery Hendrex, Tiffany R. (Hendrex) Warwick, and Todd L. Hendrex. She had eight great-grandchildren Kelly Hendrex, Ashlee Hendrex, Alison Mcginty, Savhana McWhirter, Jake Hendrex, Leslie Warwick, Amanda Warwick and Nathan Hendrex.

Her services will be at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. Visitation Wednesday, Janaury 29, 2014 at 5:00 pm -- 8:00 pm. Funeral Thursday, January 30, 2014 at 10:00 am.
