Funeral services for Mrs. Vera Holt Dailey, of Tenaha - Woods Community - were held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 17, at the Woods Methodist Church with Bill Bristow and Orville Farren officiating.

Burial was in Woods Cemetery.

Mrs. Dailey, 68, died Tuesday, June 14, during an automobile accident on Antioch Road.

Born Oct. 7, 1919, in Carthage, she was the daughter of John Holt and Lou Twomey. Mrs. Dailey spent her early life in Carthage and graduated from Carthage High School. She spent twelve years in Washington, D.C. where she was a Crypto Analyst for the U.S. Government. After retiring from the state department in 1963, Mrs. Dailey lived in Florida and moved back to Panola County 13 years ago. She was married to Cameron L. Dailey, pastor of Carthage Independent Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband and two sons: Ralph J. Dailey of Kwajalein Island, Cameron Louis Dailey of Grandville, Ohio; two sisters, Gertrude Quirk of Severn, Md., Nellie B. Galvin of Rockville, Md.; one grandson, Cameron L. Dailey, III of Newark, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews.
