Vera C. Slaughter

Funeral services for Vera C. Slaughter , 90, were held at 2 P.M. Thursday, May 14, 2009 at the Siloam Baptist Church of Many, La., with Rev. Kenneth Leach and Rev. Wilton Anthony officiating. Interment followed at the Siloam Cemetery. Visitation were held at 1 P.M. Thursday, May 14, 2009, at the Siloam Baptist Church, until service time Thursday. Mrs. Slaughter was born on October, 14, 1918 in Sabine Parish, La. and passed away on May 13, 2009 in Beaumont, Tx.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Slaughter, parents, Archie Palmer Wedgeworth and Sirena Elijah lovelady, sons, Johnnie Slaughter, Jerry Slaughter, grandsons, Gary Slaughter, Greg walker, great grandson Tony Slaughter and great granddaughter Danielle Walker.

Mrs. Slaughter is survived by her daughter, Fredia Walker and husband Henry of Nederland, Tx., Sisters, Ester Lightfoot of Many, La., Eloise Thomas of Shreveport, La., brother Wiley Wedgeworth and Wife Faye of Many, La., 5 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
