Verda L. Miller Michiels

LACOMBE, LA - Verda L. Miller Michiels died on Monday, February 7, 1994 at 3 p.m. at Northshore Regional Medical Center of congestive heart failure. She was the wife of the late Ray V. Michiels. Beloved mother of Janice L. Michiels of Lacombe, R. Vic Michiels, Jr. of Atlanta, GA and David Michiels of Kenner, La. Survived by five grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Aged 84 years, a native of Sikes, La. and a resident of Creston, La. and most recent of Lacombe, La. for the past three years.

Mrs. Michiels was a founding member of Westwind Baptist Church of Creston, La. and was locally active in volunteer work with Northshore Hospice, Community Christian Concern, and Safe Harbor. Mrs. Michiels was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church, Slidell.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral. Religious services will be at Schoen Funeral Home, 3808 Pontchartrain Drive, Slidell, La. on Wednesday, February 9, 1994 at 8 p.m. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. at Forest Park Cemetery, Shreveport, La., on Thursday, February 10, 1994.
