Verdia M. Porter

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Jones & Son Funeral Home in Moselle for Verdia Mae Porter, 86, of Hattiesburg, who died March 20, 2005, at Bedford Care Center.

Burial will be in Ellisville Cemetery.

Mrs. Porter was employed by Ellisville State School.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Theo Simmons Bradley.

Survivors include a step-son, Ricky Porter of Hattiesburg; a step-daughter, Dianne Fagan Rainey of Oak Grove; two sisters, Virgie Lee Butler and Mildred Langley, both of Moselle; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

VERDIA MAE PORTER

Verdia Mae Porter, 86, of Hattiesburg, died Sunday, March 20, 2005, at Bedford Care Center. Funeral services were held 10 a.m. today at Jones & Son Funeral Home Chapel in Moselle with burial in Ellisville Cemetery.

Mrs. Porter was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Theo Brady; her brothers, Clyde Cleveland Brady and Roderick Jethro Brady.

She is survived by her daughter, Dianne Fagan Rainey of Oak Grove; her son, Ricky Porter of Hattiesburg; her sisters, Virgie Lee Butler of Moselle and Mildred Langley of Moselle; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Jones Funeral Home in Moselle is in charge of arrangements.
