Mrs. Verna Baker

Mrs. Verna N. Baker, 79, of Gallatin died at 7:40 a.m. Thursday in a Jacksonville hospital after a long illness.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Chapel of Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home in Henderson with the Rev. Clyde Wallace officiating. Burial will be in Shiloh Cemetery.

Mrs. Baker was a native of Louisiana and was a member of the Shiloh Baptist Church.

She is survived by one step-daughter, Mrs. Mae Shiflet of Tyler; two sister-in-laws, Mrs. Ruby Austin of Jacksonville, and Mrs. Nellie Austin of Gallatin; and several nieces and nephews.
