Marcell Reeves

Victor Marcell Reeves Sr., 71, longtime resident of the Oxford community near Gloster, died Feb. 11, 2011, in Liberty.

Visitation continues today at Brown Funeral Home of Gloster from noon until services at 2 p.m. The Rev. Danny Cook will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery.

Mr. Reeves was born Oct. 4, 1939, in Gloster, to Britt ``Beezy'' Reeves and Pauline ``Dudie'' Rollins Reeves.

He was a retired electrician and a member of the IBEW union.

His family said he will be truly missed. He never met a stranger and really enjoyed traveling, riding horses and spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two children, Alecia ``Missy'' Reeves and Victor Marcell ``Bo'' Reeves Jr.

Survivors include his wife, Leimomie Byrd Reeves; a daughter and son-in-law, Felecia and Bill Neyland; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Murdock Reeves, Dusty and Angie Reeves, and Tory and Kari Reeves; 10 grandchildren, Steven Brabham, Evie Rogillio, Jessica Rogillio, Trask Neyland, Bailey Reeves, Beau Reeves, Britt-ney Reeves, Holden McMullen, Kyler Reeves and Tanner Reeves; seven great-grandchildren, Taylor Knapp, Jesse Rymer, Shelby Brabham, Emma Rogillio, Kristopher Rogillio, Taylor Rogillio and Kate Rogillio; two brothers, Darrel Reeves and wife Susie, and Ronnie Reeves and wife Aleska; his first wife and mother of his children, Evelyn Jackson Reeves; numerous cousins and friends.

Pallbearers will be Jeffery Newman, Taylor Knapp, Jesse Rymer, Steven Brabham, Frankie Robertson and Billy Neyland. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Seal, Teddy Jackson, Sammy Whittington and Perry Kirkland.
