A homemaker and a resident of Baker, she died at 2:25 a.m. Thursday, June 28, 2007, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center-Mid City. She was 69, born Jan. 12, 1938, in Baton Rouge.
Visiting at Baker Funeral Home, Baker, on Friday, June 29, from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and on Saturday after 9 a.m. Religious service at the funeral home chapel at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, conducted by the Rev. Wayne Myers. Interment in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
Survived by her husband, Joseph M. “Tank Car” Haynes; nephews, Jason and Jeremy Graphia, Casey and Levey Koon, Robert Hall Jr. and Brandon Meaulance; granddaughter, Alexis M. Haynes; stepgrandchildren, Tamra and Michael Todd; three sons, John M. Haynes of Baker, David Haynes and wife Sandra of Zachary, and James Haynes and girlfriend Sonya Stevens of Baker; two sisters, Jeanne Delooze and husband Ken of Maurepas and Pam Meaulance of Baton Rouge; brother, John H. Meaulance Jr., French Settlement; sister-in-law, Harriett Hall, Frierson; brother-in-law, Robert Hall, Frierson; and nieces, Deshea Kozyak, Metairie, Tammy Warden, Austin, and Terry Boston, Tanya Jordon and Brenda Crooks, all of Stonewall.
Preceded in death by her parents, John and Elrie Meaulance; father-in-law, Willie “Bill” Haynes; and mother-in-law, Aline R. Haynes.
Pallbearers will be Jason and Jeremy Graphia, Brandon Meaulance, Casey and Levey Koon and James Haynes.
