Viola Baum Pippin 
Funeral services for Viola Baum Pippin, 77, of Winnsboro, were held at 10 a.m., Sept. 30, 
in the Baskin Baptist Church with the Rev. S. B. Boyett officiating.
  
Interment was in Coax Cemetery, near Winnsboro, under the direction of Winnsboro 
First National Funeral Home.
  
A native of Baskin, she was born Sept. 15, 1908. She was a housewife. She died on 
Sept. 28, 1985, following a brief illness.
  
Survivors include one daughter, Doris Wilson, Monroe; one son, Willard Pippin Jr. 
Bastrop; one brother, Louis [sic Lewis] Baum, Baskin; three sisters, Eunice Smith, Winnsboro 
and Ruby Smith and Myrtle Shirley, both of Baskin; five grandchildren 
and five great-grandchildren.
  
Pallbearers were Albert Wiggington, Dudley Odom, Ted Smith, Clark Smith, Sidney Smith, 
Jerris Baker, Buddy Jones and David Burnham.
