MRS. VIOLA B. DAVIS

Mrs. Viola Boyd Davis died Friday morning at Hearthside Haven Nursing Home after a long illness. She would have been 92 on Saturday as she was born Jan. 20, 1881. She was a former longtime resident of South Magnolia Street and member of North Laurel Baptist Church. Her husband, J. L. Davis, Sr., preceded her in death in July 1969.

Funeral services will be held Monday, 10 a.m. at the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home with the Revs. Jimmy Cresswell and J. M. Foy officiating. Burial will be in Hickory Grove Cemetery.

Survivors are two daughters: Mrs. J. L. (Vera) Williams of Laurel; Mrs. F. W. (Clarene) Patrick, Durham, N. C.; three sons: X. L. Davis, Clewis Davis, both of Laurel; and Allen Davis of Jackson; 13 grandchildren and 19 great - grandchildren.

Grandsons will be pallbearers.

Friends may call at Thompson Funeral Home after 3 p.m. Saturday.
