MRS. VIOLA ALLEN

Funeral services for Mrs. Viola Allen, 56, who died Sunday in a local hospital after a lengthy illness, were held at 2 p.m. today from the chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home, with the Rev. J. T. Mayo officiating.

Interment, under the direction of Hixson Brothers, was held in the Lone Cedar Cemetery near Baskin.

Survivors are her husband, Huey Allen, Bastrop; two sons, Billy Ray, Bastrop; Hubert, Willet [sic Willits], Calif.; one daughter, Mrs. Marie Olivo, Monroe; three brothers, Lester Cox, Calif.; O. J. Cox, Pineville; and Floyd Cox, Houston, Tex.; seven sisters, Mrs. Nannie Shumaker; Mrs. Mildred Eubanks, Mrs. Ola Shumaker, all of Grayson; Mrs. Lena Roland [sic Rolen]; Mrs. Clemie Brayn [sic Climmie Bryan], and Mrs. Virgie Rice, all of California; Mrs. Beulah McGinty, Houston, Tex.; her mother, Mrs. Maggie Cox, Grayson.

Pallbearers were Clarence Riley, H. B. Vaughn, Clifford Allen, Winfred Tarvar [sic Tarver], Arlon Adcock and Charlie Carrington.
