Viola Lee Caudell
Funeral services for Mrs. Viola Lee Caudell, 69, of Carthage were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 8, 1996 at Jimerson Funeral Home Chapel in Carthage. The Rev. Mervin Scott officiated. Interment followed in the Deadwood Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Jimerson Funeral Home. Mrs. Caudell died Friday, Jan. 5 in a Houston hospital.
Born on Feb. 22, 1926 in Beckville, she was the daughter of Charlie and Bennie Milam Emmons. Mrs. Caudell was a homemaker.
Mrs. Caudell is survived by her husband, Mr. Garnett L. Caudell of Carthage; four daughters and sons-in-law, Glenda and Bob Gober of Carthage, Terry and Pat Carrole of Smithville, Miss., Marlene and William Shane of Daisetta, Texas, and Darlene and James Rook of Seminary, Miss.; three sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Pat Holeman of Seneca, N.Y., Michial and Virginia Holeman of Lawrenceburg, KY, and Gary and Shirley Caudell of Porter, Texas; one brother, Charles Groce of Willis, Texas; four sisters, Sue Smith of Hughes Springs, Texas, Lorene West and Florene Davis, both of Collins, Miss., and Gloria Patrick of Conroe; 21 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Richard Holeman, Michial Holeman, Mel Bloyer, Hughland Holeman, Dean Holeman, Craig Florey, and Ashley Florey.
