Funeral services for Virdus Williamson, 94, of Baskin, LA will be held at Friendship Baptist Church on Sunday, July 5, 2009 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Prentis Gandy, Rev. Buford Brady, and Rev. Justin Winstead officiating. Interment will follow at Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Young's Community Memorial Funeral Home in Winnsboro.
Mr. Williamson was born December 23, 1914 in Sicily Island, LA and passed away Friday July 03, 2009 at Plantation Manor N.H. in Winnsboro. He was a resident of Baskin, a Farmer, a retired custodian of Baskin School, and a member of the Friendship Baptist Church.

The Pallbearers will be Gary Weatherly, Landel McKeithen, Jimmy Winstead, David Stowe Sr., David Stowe Jr., and Larry Jackson. The Honorary Pallbearers will be Josh McGurk, Fred Ragsdale, Cody Stowe, Tom Hill, Huey Allen Smith, Lewis and Van Taylor, Faye and Raymond Crabtree, Jerry Ray Roberts, and Leon McIntrye.
The family will receive friends at Young's Community Memorial Funeral Home from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Saturday, July 4, 2009.
