Funeral services for Virdus Williamson, 94, of Baskin, LA will be held at Friendship Baptist Church on Sunday, July 5, 2009 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Prentis Gandy, Rev. Buford Brady, and Rev. Justin Winstead officiating. Interment will follow at Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Young's Community Memorial Funeral Home in Winnsboro.
Mr. Williamson was born December 23, 1914 in Sicily Island, LA and passed away Friday July 03, 2009 at Plantation Manor N.H. in Winnsboro. He was a resident of Baskin, a Farmer, a retired custodian of Baskin School, and a member of the Friendship Baptist Church.
He was preceded in Death by:

Granddaughter-Kaye Crabtree

Children-John and Audrey Williamson of Baskin, LA; James and Joyce Williamson of Rayville, LA; Charles and Martha Williamson of Baskin, LA; Tilda and Bobby Crabtree of Mangham, LA; Rudy and Buddy Long of Baskin, LA; Buster and Pam Williamson of Baskin; Sylvia and Lynn Williamson of Rayville, LA; and Hope and Marvin Williamson of West Monroe, LA
22 Grandchildren, 28 Great grandchildren, and 3 Great great grandchildren: J.D., Chloe, and Lele

The family will receive friends at Young's Community Memorial Funeral Home from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Saturday, July 4, 2009.
