Mrs. Vergie L. Leach

Mrs. Vergie L. Leach, 76, of 162 Marion Ave., died Wednesday at Hinds General Hospital after a long illness.

Funeral: 2 p.m. today at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home. Burial: Lakewood Memorial Park.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Juanita Woodruff of Jackson; two sons, Robert Lee Leach of Delhi, La., and Harry Louis Leach of Jackson; a brother, Floyd A. Kelly of Greenville; three sisters, Mrs. Nannie Satterfield of Jackson, Mrs. Elsie Bounds of Laurel, and Mrs. Mary Iv[e]y of Lake; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Leach was a native of Newton County and had lived in Jackson for the past 32 years. She was a member of Hazel Baptist Church, and was the widow of Preston Lamar Leach.
