MRS. VIRGIE HELEN HALFORD
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Sunday at the Palestine Baptist Church for Mrs. Virgie Helen Halford, 68, who died at the Jasper County Hospital Friday morning.
The Rev. Mr. McKenzie will be officiating and burial will be in the Mt. Pisgah Cemetery.
Mrs. Halford is survived by her husband, B. H. [sic B. A.] Halford, Route 2, Louin, six daughters, Mrs. Betty Brock, Memphis, Tenn., Mrs. C. G. Brown, Millbrook, Ala., Mrs. Barbara Ishee, Laurel, Mrs. Lenora [sic Leora] Hendrickson, Karney, Nebr., Mrs. James A. Turner, Houston, Tex., and Mrs. E. R. Ryamy [sic G. R. Ryan], Alexandria, La.; five sons, Houston Halford, Alexandria, La., John Leland Halford, Laurel, James Allen Halford, Louin, Gredel Halford, Billings, Mont., Lavon Halford, Riverton, Vt.; one son-in-law, Ralph Drinkwine, Louin; two sisters, Miss Vicia McCarty, Louin, and Mrs. Ida Cox, Pineapple, Ala.; two brothers, Raymond McCarty, Stringer and George McCarty, Alma, Ark.; 29 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
Memory Chapel is in charge.
