VIRGIL W. WATSON

WISNER, Oct. 4 (Special) -- Funeral services for Chief Petty Officer Virgil W. Watson, 36-year-old Wisner native who died in a naval hospital in Portsmouth, Va. Sunday, were held Thursday at 4 p.m. at the Central Baptist Church at Wisner.

Burial was under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Winnsboro.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Elsie Watson, Norfolk, Va.; two sons, Randy Watson, Baton Rouge, and West Watson, Norfolk, Va.; one daughter, Stacey Watson, Norfolk; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. West Watson of Wisner; and one sister, Lurline Watson of Jackson, Miss.

Rev. Ira Patterson and Rev. Tom Ratcliff officiating. Remains will arrive Thursday morning.

Active pallbearers were James Turner, Frank Spann, Wilton Hoggatt, C. W. Scates, Jess Gilbert, Jess Gordy, Lee Mason, Vernon Stephens, and Elvie Bondurant.

Honorary pallbearers were all friends of the family and class-mates of Mr. Watson.
