Funeral services for Virginia B. Wallace are 11:00 am,
Monday, July 28, 2014 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
She will lie in state from 10:00 -- 11:00 before the service.
Interment will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will
be 5:00-9:00 pm, Sunday, July 27, 2014 at Riverwood Family Funeral Service.
Mrs. Wallace, 92, of Bogue Chitto, passed away July 25, 2014
at Golden Living Center in Brookhaven. She was born May 18, 1922
to Ance LeRoy Butler and Annie Emmons Butler. She was a
homemaker and a talented seamstress, best known for the
hundreds of sock monkeys she made. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband,
Alton Wallace; brothers, Sammy Butler, U. B. Butler, J.B. Butler;
sister, Mildred Nickens, and granddaughter, Susie Wallace.
She is survived by her son, Dennis Alton Wallace and wife
Jan of Pensacola, FL; daughters, Mary Kathleen Wilson and husband
Glen of Wesson, Linda Gayle Wallace of Tellico Plains, TN;
Charlene Wallace of Bogue Chitto; brother, Jack Butler of Houma, LA;
sister, Gloria June LeBouef of Houma, LA; sister in law, Louise Allgood
of Brookhaven; 3 grandchildren, Hope Wilson, Denise Braswell,
Robert Wallace; 3 great grandchildren, Jordan Roland, Emilee Braswell,
and Beau Wallace.
