WALSH, VIRGINIA IONE

Died Wednesday, April 7, 1993, at her residence in Liberty, Miss. She was 64, born June 23, 1928, in Amite County, Miss. She was a retired Amite County tax assessor.

Visiting at Brown Funeral Home, Liberty, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday and after 8 a.m. Friday. Religious services at the funeral home chapel at 10 a.m. Friday, conducted by the Rev. Millard Purl, the Rev. Mike Glen and the Rev. Odell Tebo. Interment in New Hope Church Cemetery, Gloster, Miss.

Survived by husband, George Walsh Sr., Liberty; two sons, George Walsh Jr., Liberty, and Warren Walsh, Liberty; a daughter, Denise Walsh, Gulfport, Miss.; two sisters, Eloise Moore, Liberty, and Ercelle Dimaio, Baton Rouge; two daughters-in-law, Mrs. George (Jan) Walsh and Mrs. Warren (Vicki) Walsh, both of Liberty; three grandchildren, Justin, Bill and Heather Walsh.

Preceded in death by father, Shelly Whittington; mother, Virgie Whittington Cox; and a brother, Wayne Whittington.

She was a member of Enterprise Baptist Church, Liberty.
