Virginia Jackson Neal

Virginia Mable Jackson Neal age 85, of Jackson, Tenn, died Monday, September 12th at Forest Cove Manor Nursing Center in Jackson, Tenn.

She was born August 1st, 1926 in Opp, Alabama, a daughter of the late Andrew William Jackson and Bertha Mae Baggett Jackson. She was a housewife and homemaker and a member of the Lambuth Memorial Methodist Church for 50 plus years. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Joe Gordon Neal whom she married May 1, 1943 and he died August 21st, 2011.

Survivors include her son, John Gordon Neal and spouse Connie, Plainview, AR.; her daughter, Jo Ann Brosell and spouse Lee, Meridian, Miss. 3 brothers, Ernest Jackson, Lauderdale, Miss.; Curtis Jackson, Mobile, Ala., and Sam Jackson, Warner Robbins, GA. 3 sisters, Julia Smith, Mobile, Ala., Doris Shafer, Queen Creek, AZ. and Ruth Penner, Galt, CA. A grandson, Joshua Gordon Neal, Cordova, Tenn.

Funeral services were 2:00 PM Monday, September 19th at Frazer's Chapel with Rev. Marty Reep officiating. Janice Sullivan was organist. Soloist was Lloyd Moore. Burial was in Neal Cemetery by Frazer's Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Lee Brosell, Frank Penner, Wilbee Smith, Lloyd Moore, Neal Moore and Charles Moore.
