Virginia Pepper McDaniel, 87, of Laurel, died Sunday, May 3, 2009 at South Central Regional Medical Center in Laurel.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 5, at Memory Chapel with burial to follow in Sandersville Cemetery. The Rev. Donnie Parker will officiate.
She was a member of Sandersville Baptist Church and was a retired registered nurse for 48 years with the former Jones County Community Hospital.
She is preceded in death by her husband, W.B. McDaniel, in 1972.
She is survived by two daughters, Rosemary Sharpe and husband Ronnie Sharpe of Hattiesburg, and Ellen Davis and husband John Davis of Laurel; one brother, Mack Pepper of Athens, Ala.; two sisters, Agnes Smedley of Cowan, Tenn. and Floyce Keyes of Athens, Ala.; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Grant Sharpe, Patrick Harrell, Eric Parish, Tommy Napier, John Davis and Ronnie Sharpe.
Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. today at Memory Chapel, which is in charge of services.
