Vorine Hatten
(January 22, 1920 - September 12, 2014)

Mrs. Vorine Hatten, age 94 of Sikes, Louisiana, passed away on Friday, September 12, 2014 at Autumn Leaves Nursing Home in Winnfield. Mrs. Hatten was a lifetime member of Hebron Baptist Church and was a homemaker. She was a native of Sikes and had a real passion for quilting.

Mrs. Hatten is the daughter of the late Henry Norman Crain and the late Mattie Mae Sterns. She was also preceded in death by her husband Mike Hatten, one son James “Sonny” Hatten as well as six sisters and two brothers.

Survivors include her two daughters Margie Parker and her husband J. C. and Dorothy Parker and her husband Jim, all of Sikes. She is also survived by four grandchildren Gary Parker, Brenda Byington, Sandra Rachal and Angie Carpenter, seven great-grandchildren Jeremy Brossette, Mitch Parker, Nola Parker, Beth Edwards, and Jeremy Edwards, Clay Carpenter, and Cullen Carpenter and three great great-grandchildren, Brayden Brossette, Bella Brossette, and Daniel Medine.

Funeral services for Mrs Hatten will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday in the Southern Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Sammy Redden officiating. Interment will follow in the Hebron Cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield.

Friends may visit with the family in the funeral home on Saturday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until time of services.
