WINNSBORO (Special) -- Funeral services were to be at 1 p.m. today in the chapel of First National Funeral Home here for W. M. “Bill” Magee, 59, of Winnsboro.
Dr. Clarence Young was to officiate, with burial in Myrtle Memorial Cemetery here.
Mr. Magee died Monday in St. Francis Hospital in Monroe following a long illness.
He was a well-known farmer here and a member of the First Baptist Church. He was also a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Violet Etheridge Magee of Winnsboro; two sons, Bill Mint Magee of Baton Rouge and Brad Magee of Winnsboro; one daughter, Mrs. DeWitt Robinson of Winnsboro; two brothers, T. K. Magee of Rayville and Louis L. Magee of Winnsboro; three sisters, Mrs. Wes Watson of Wisner, Mrs. C. C. Hopkins and Mrs. Sam Oliver, both of Winnsboro; and three grandchildren.
Pallbearers were to be John Magee, Landis Magee, Ray Magee, Purcell Greer, Lee Russell Oliver, J. B. Ethridge Jr., Russell Ethridge, and George Carroll Jr.
