PORT ARTHUR, Texas -- Wallace Harper, 79, of Port Arthur, Texas, formerly of Wilmar, died Monday at Park Place Hospital here.
He was born June 27, 1911, at Monticello.
He was a retired carpenter and a Methodist.
Survivors include his wife, Nell Harper of Port Arthur; a son, Royce Harer [sic Harper] of Port Arthur; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Home of Monticello, with the Rev. Tom Abney officiating. Burial will be in Rock Springs Cemetery near Monticello.
