Wallace Porsche

BROWNWOOD (RNS) -- Wallace N. Porche, 78, of San Marcos died at an Austin Hospital at 5 p.m. Tuesday after a two-week illness. Services will be at 4 p.m. Thursday at the Church of the Good Shepard.

The Rev. David Douglas will officiate. Burial will be in Winchell Cemetery, directed by Morelock Funeral Home.

He married Zelma Boiles Oct. 21, 1975. His first wife, Frances Dykes, died Sept. 18 [sic Nov. 3], 1973.

Born in Bayou Blue, La., Nov. 29, 1897, he was a retired agent of the MKT Railroad.

He had lived in Brownwood 11 years.

Survivors include his wife, Zelma; a daughter, Mrs. Olivia Braud of Brownwood; a granddaughter, Michelle Braud of Brownwood; a grandson, Wallace Braud of Houston; two sisters, Mary Porche of Louisiana and Bernadette Porche of Slidell, La.; and a brother, Armond Porche of Houma, La.
