W. A. Slover

FERRIDAY (Special) -- Funeral services for Walter A. Slover, 67, of Ferriday, were to be held at 2 p.m. today at Young's Funeral Home with the Rev. Gordon Finlay officiating, and burial following in Natchez, Miss., city cemetery.

Mr. Slover died Wednesday at his home following a heart attack.

Survivors include his widow; a son, Freddy Louis Slover, Vidalia; three daughters, Mrs. Mary Alwell, Ferriday; Mrs. Frances Blaylock, Waterproof; Mrs. Evelyn Riggs, West Monroe; three brothers, W. A. Slover, Miami, Fla.; V. R. and P. W. Slover, Natchez, Miss.; a sister, Mrs. Gretel Harmon, Ft. Branch, Ind.; and seven grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Gene Rogillo, Bernard McGlothin, Herman Rosenburg, D. R. Trent, Oliver Tyson Sr., Tolly Taunton, Wednall Powell and Charlie Watson.
