W.D. ``Hoot'' Gibson

Services for W.D. ``Hoot'' Gibson will be held Monday July 19, 2004 at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, La. at 2 P.M. with Rev. John Cunningham officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday July 18, 2004 from 5 P.M. until 9 P.M. at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home. Burial will be held in Memory Lawn Cemetery in Natchitoches, LA.

Mr. Gibson, age 88, of Montgomery, La., died Friday, July 16, 2004, at Grant Manor Nursing Center in Colfax, La. He Served in the Army during World War II in the engineering core and a member of the local VFW He was retired from L.H. Bossier Construction in Alexandria. He was a member of the Catholic Church and a native of Natchitoches, LA.

He is preceeded in death by his parents Walter Dawson Gibson Sr. and Marcelite Lemoine Gibson and sister Cora Lee Guillory.

He is survived by his wife Dorothy Wardlow Gibson ; three daughters, Kay Wardlow Foshee and husband Tom of Natchitoches, La. , Grace Aaron and husband Frank of Natchitoches, La. and Virginia Watkins of Shreveport, La. ; one son, John Wardlow and wife Celeste of Montgomery, La. ; ten grandchildren, Thomas Jefferson Foshee III, Michael Scott Foshee, Blane Wardlow Foshee, Rebecca Leanne Wardlow, Tonya Martin, Stan Aaron, Ken Aaron, Kim Frye, Emily Greene, Julie Gloss, Ann Lucas and Rebecca Schmidt , Twenty-one Great Grandchilden and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Ken Aaron, Alvaroy Larry , Jeff Foshee, Scott Foshee, Tom Foshee and Artie Gibson.

Honarary Pallbearers will be L. H. Bossier, Lawrence Fuller, Frank Aaron, and Dr. Greg Brian.
