Walter G. McCarty Dies in Sikes Home

Funeral services were conducted Wednesday in the Hurricane Grove church, near Sikes, for Walter G. McCarty, 72 year-old retired farmer and stockman of Sikes. He died Tuesday in his home.

Mr. McCarty is survived by one son, Daniel McCarty, Sikes; four brothers, C. A. McCarty, Sikes, D. S. McCarty, St. Joseph, H. M. and C. C. McCarty, both of Winnsboro; two grandsons, also of Sikes, and one sister, Mrs. Gaines Richardson. Mrs. Lamar E. Little of Winnsboro is a niece of the deceased.
