Walter H. Bass Dies; Services Today At 3 P.M.
JONESVILLE (Special) -- Walter Hearse Bass, 72, of Jonesville, died at an Alexandria hospital Saturday morning after a long illness.
He was the father of Mrs. Dominic T. Cascio of Monroe.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. today in Lake Lilly Baptist Church near here with the Rev. Ellis String officiating, assisted by the Rev. Gayle Dean Jr.
Burial will be at Heard Cemetery at Manifest under direction of Young's Funeral Home of Ferriday.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Eloise Bass, Jonesville; two sons, Budrow and Hearse G. Bass, both of Jonesville; another daughter, Mrs. Myrtle Wright, Alexandria; 17 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
