WALTER J. CARR JR.
PORT LAVACE -- Walter Jefferson “WJ” Carr Jr., 80 of Port Lavaca died Thursday, Aug. 24, 1995.
He was born Dec. 26, 1914, in Vixon, La., to the late Walter Jefferson Sr. and Eva Angie Carroll Carr. He was a retired heavy equipment operator of I.U.O.E. Union No. 450. Mr. Carr was a member of Masonic Lodge No. 36 in Calhoun County for 28 years, Sandcrab Good Sam's Club for 12 years, life member of DAV and he was a Baptist.
Survivors: wife, Joyce McKeithen Carr, James Carr of Runge, Jerry Carr of Cuero and Keith Carr of Port Lavaca; brothers, Lorainne Carr and Odell Carr, both of Louisiana; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by: sister, Alma Carr; and brothers, Ira Carr, Aaron Carr and Cloyce Carr.
Services: 2 p.m. Saturday, Richardson Funeral Home chapel, the Revs. David Bush and Bill Swaim officiating.
Masonic graveside services: Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery under the auspices of Masonic Lodge No. 36 A.F. & A.M., Richardson Funeral Home, Port Lavaca, 552-2988.
