Walter Nugent

CLARKS -- Walter G. Nugent, 82, of Clarks, died Thursday at Columbia Heights Hospital after a brief illness.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Riser and Son Funeral Home of Columbia with The Rev. Lavelle Crain officiating. Burial will be in Old Bethel Cemetery.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Nancy Dunn [Nugent] of Clarks; a daughter, Mrs. Ethel Brazil Amberg of Olla; two grandchildren, Jimmie Ray Cody of West Monroe and Mrs. Wilma Bean [sic Dean] Keen of Shreveport; and five great-grandchildren.
