Walter W. Jackson Died Early Today
Walter W. Jackson, 73, of the Valley Community, died early today while en route to the Greenwood Leflore Hospital.
Services will be held tomorrow at 10 a.m. from the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church with interment in the church cemetery. Rev. J. C. Sansing and Moss Harper will officiate with Williams and Lord in charge.
Mr. Jackson was a member of the Baptist Church.
He is the father of Miss Josephine Jackson, Carrollton, who is a Greenwood Junior High School teacher and Ward N. Jackson, Greenwood, a teacher at North Greenwood school.
Other survivors are his wife, Josephine Jackson; sons, Willie Paul Jackson, Carrollton and Walter E. Jackson, Greenwood; another daughter, Miss Minnie Jackson of Carrollton; a brother, A. D. Jackson, Carrollton, and three sisters, Mrs. Halsey Duke, Carrollton; Mrs. Jim Kent, Hollandale, and Gertrude Mullin, Greenwood; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Mr. Jackson's nephews.
