Wanda Boutwell Walker
Graveside services for Wanda Walker will be held at: 10:30 A.M. , on Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at Newton County Memorial Gardens with Bro. Gary Felton officiating. Newton County Funeral Home North, Hwy 15 North, Newton, MS is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Walker, 66 of Newton, died Sunday, April 18, 2010 at Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian.
A favorite past time that she enjoyed was working in her yard and gardening, as well as reading and doing needlework. She was an avid homemaker, especially, in canning and putting up vegetables from her garden and sharing them with others. She was faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church where she was a Children's Sunday School Teacher, always offering a kind word of encouragement to those she came in contact with. She expressed her faith through her many works and deeds throughout the community. She was an humble servant and a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister.
She was preceded in death by her father: Louie Boutwell, and her sister: Brenda Boutwell
Survivors include: her husband: Walter (Walton) Walker of Newton; her daughter: Kim (Kenny) Graham, of Marion; her son: Chris (Sharon) Walker, of Ooltewah, TN her daughter: Brandi Walker, of Newton; her grandchildren: Kyle Walker and Makaylin Walker, both of Ooltewah, TN; her mother: Thelma Munn Boutwell of Newton; her sisters: Pat (Danny) Rains, of Evensville, TN and Rita Maynard, of Newton;
Pallbearers will be John Brannen, Jason Rains, Jim Pendergest, Doyle Moore, Travis Rains, and Johnny Walker.
Honorary Pall Bearers will be Donald Boutwell, Raymond Walker, and Danny Rains.
Visitation will be held from 5 P.M. - 8 P.M., on Monday, April 19, 2010 at the funeral home.
