Funeral services for Wanda Elizabeth Crain Meeks, 81, of Monroe, LA will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, December 12, 2007 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe, LA with Rev. Boyd Tannehill officiating. Interment to follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Calhoun, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe, LA.

Mrs. Meeks was born June 14, 1926 in Sikes, LA and passed away December 11, 2007 in West Monroe, LA. She was a business school graduate and worked at the Pentagon during World War II. She later worked at Barksdale Air Force Base and Wright Bendell Clinic.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Joe Meeks; parents, Charlie and Edna Crain; and a brother, Charles Dudley Crain.

She is survived by 2 children; Michael W. Meeks and wife Sherry, and Billie Meeks; grandsons, Michael Joe Meeks and wife Brandi, Joshua Earl Meeks and wife Pam; great-grandson, Cayden Meeks and was expecting a great-granddaughter; bro George Crain, Delane Crain and wife Nancy; sisters, Ouida Anderson and husband Bill, Gay Nell Crain, and Martha Johnson; sister-in-law, Frances Crain; 11 nephews and 2 nieces; numerous great nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Michael Meeks, Joshua Meeks, Ronnie Dotson, Kenneth Gallien and Keith Perry.

Visitation will be held Wednesday from 12:00 noon until service time at Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe, LA.
