Waylon “Cheater” Ewing
MANIFEST- Funeral service for Waylon “Cheater” Ewing will be held today at 11 a.m. at Community Pentecostal Church, Manifest, with the Rev. Claude Terrell and Rev. Albert Vickers officiating. Burial will be in Huffman Cemetery, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville.
Mr. Ewing, 63, of Manifest died Sunday, April 21, 2002 at Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital, Alexandria.
He was a lifetime native of Manifest and he was a tank builder.
Mr. Ewing is survived by his wife, Ena Lucas Ewing of Manifest; one daughter, Debra Lynn Richey of Hineston; four sons, Richard Waylon Ewing, Marvin Dewayne Ewing, Ronald Glen Ewing, and David Kendall Ewing, all of Manifest; his mother, Gladys Ewing Ford of Aimwell; one brother, Hansford Ewing of Manifest; three sisters, Geraldine Green of Winnsboro, Lois Gordon of Jonesville, and Marie Young of Missouri; sixteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
