Webb B. Cooley Dies at Age 76

Webb B. Cooley, 76, of 5323 Southern, an employee of Mobil Oil Co. from 1924 to 1975, died Friday in Dallas.

Cooley retired in 1962 as manager of the ad valorem tax department of Mobil Oil Co. and was retained at the company as a legislative representative until 1975.

He was active at one time as a member of the Democratic executive committee and was a former member of Dallas City Plan Commission.

He was a member of Pineland Masonic Lodge and was on the board of deacons at Highland Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday in Sparkman-Hillcrest Funeral Chapel, 7405 W. Northwest Chapel, 7405 W. Northwest Highway. Burial will be in Grove Hill Memorial Park.

He is survived by his wife, Pauline, one son, two daughters, six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and one brother.

Services 4 p.m. Saturday, SPARKMAN-HILLCREST NORTHWEST HIGHWAY CHAPEL. Dr. C. B. Jackson and Rev. Aubrey Patterson officiating. Interment Grove Hill.

Pallbearers: Wayne Cooley, Glenn Cooley, Gary Reynolds, Roy Owens, Stuart Craft, Charles B. Wallce. Honorary pallbearers: Deacons of Highland Baptist Church.

Memorials may be made to the Dallas Chapter of the American Heart Association.
