WELDON ``GRANDPA'' WEST MORRIS, 84, of Houston passed away Wednesday, July 6, 2005 peacefully at home.
Weldon is survived by his wife of 57 years, Geraldine Hooper Morris ; daughter, Lynn Viejo Bueno; grandchildren, Stephanie Wilson and husband Byron, Nicholas Viejo Bueno, and Christian Viejo Bueno; brothers-in-law, Frank Edens, Floyd DeLafosse, and Jack Smith; various nieces and nephews; and cherished pets, Binky & Einstein.
Weldon was a dedicated employee of Exxon for nearly 40 years before retiring in 1982. Since then he has enjoyed playing dominos and cards, and watching racing on TV, but especially visiting with family, friends, and neighbors. The family wishes to send special thanks to Otilia Garcia and Joel Meneses, as well as Rob and Dorothy and all of Vistacare Hospice for all of their love and support.
A celebration of Grandpa's life will be Saturday, July 9th at 3 PM at Forest Park Lawndale's Main Chapel, burial will follow in Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery. The family will greet friends Friday from 6-9 PM at the funeral home.
