Wendell Haynes

FORT WORTH -- Wendell Haynes, a retired systems analyst for more than 25 years at LTV, now Vought Aircraft Co., died Sunday at a local hospital. He was 78.

Memorial services were Tuesday at Fleming Chapel at Broadway Baptist Church, where he was a deacon.

Mr. Haynes was born in Arkansas. He held degrees from Oklahoma Southeast State University and Purdue University.

The family requests that memorials be made to the Broadway Endowment Fund, 305 W. Broadway St., Fort Worth 76104; or the Alzheimers Association of Tarrant County, 2720 S. University Drive, Fort Worth 76109.

Survivors: Wife, Esther E. Haynes of Arlington; three sons, Douglas Haynes of Goose Creek, S.C., Allen Haynes of Hurst and Karl Haynes of Oakland, Calif.; two brothers, Chester Haynes of Grand Prairie and Paul Haynes of Nashville, Ark.; and three sisters, Frances Aylett, Mary Ponder and Sarah Young, all of Nashville, Ark.
