WESLEY W. PARKER

Wesley W. Parker, 75, retired school teacher and farmer, 3648 Old Bay Springs Road, Laurel, died at his residence Monday, 4:30 p.m. He had resided in Laurel for 20 years and he and his widow, Mrs. Mamie S. Parker, were teachers in Jones County Schools for many years before retirement.

Born in Montrose, Parker was the son of the late David Parker and Mrs. Cora McCarty Parker. He was a member of Highland Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held at Highland Baptist Church at 10 a.m. Wednesday with the Revs. Guy Reedy and Warren Langworthy officiating.

Burial will be in Palestine Cemetery.

Surviving are his widow; two sons, Dr. Bob H. Parker, Purvis, and Walter D. Parker, Pensacola, Fla.; seven grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Alson Warren, Laurel; a brother, Fred Parker, Theodore, Ala., and several other relatives.
