Wilburn E. Ferguson

Funeral services for Wilburn Edward Ferguson, 47 year old resident of Ferriday, were held at Coax Baptist church near Winnsboro at 2:30 p.m. Monday. The Rev. Doss Tipton officiated.

Ill several years before his death, Mr. Ferguson was employed in the maintenance department of International Paper company, Natchez, Miss. He was born October 20, 1912 at Winnsboro, and was a member of Sycamore Baptist church of Ferriday. He died February 20 at Natchez General hospital. Burial was in Coax Cemetery.

Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Emma Ferguson, Ferriday; a son, Steve Ferguson, star route B, Vidalia; three daughters, Mrs. Clara Seymour, Ferriday, Mrs. Mary Cockerham, Vidalia, and Mrs. Elsie Hardy, Natchez, Miss.; eight grandchildren; a brother, Luther Ferguson, Winnsboro; four sisters, Mrs. Odell Ferguson, Baskin, Mrs. Odessa McClelland, Mrs. Orell Thomas and Miss Ann Ferguson, all of Shreveport; six half sisters and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were J. E. Fowler, A. E. Smith, Ike Cowan, Jr., Jessie Ross, W. M. Ross and Herman McMurray.
