Wilbur J. `Wimp' Fain

Funeral services for Wilbur J. ``Wimp'' Fain, 72, of Winnsboro were held Saturday at Boeuf River Baptist Church with the Rev. Paul Kolb officiating.

Interment followed at Ogden Cemetery under the direction of Riser First National Funeral Home of Winnsboro.

Mr. Fain died Thursday, Aug. 15, 1996 at Overton Brooks V.A Hospital. He was a lifelong resident of Franklin Parish and a retired farmer. Mr. Fain was preceded in death by one brother, Dorfus Fain.

Survivors include his wife, Ellie C. Fain, Winnsboro; his former wife and friend, Joyce C. Fain, Winnsboro; daughters and sons-in-law, Charlotte and Lee DeMoss, Bossier City; Teresa and James Murphy, West Monroe; sons and daughters-in-law, Kyle and Sharri Fain, Chatham; Craig Fain, Winnsboro; seven grandchildren; four sisters, Marie Plank, Rayville; Hazel Beard, Ann Hilman and Jean Humphries, all of Shreveport.

Pallbearers were G.B. Thompson, Oscar Pace, Arlon Adams, Jurgen Fain, Rene Fain and Jimmy Plank.
