Last Rites Held For W. M. Kiely Sunday, July 19

Willburn M. Kiely, 80, a resident of Winnfield for the past five years died July 18 in a Pineville hospital following a long illness.

Funeral services were conducted at 4 p.m. from the chapel of the Southern Funeral Home with the Rev. R. H. Staples and C. C. Martin officiating. Burial was in the Winnfield Cemetery under direction of Southern.

Acting as pallbearers were Ebb Machen, Travis Taylor, Ira Key, D. C. Machen, Woody Smith, and P. K. Smith.

Mr. Kiely, formerly of Shreveport, was a retired linesman for the L. & A. Railroad. He was a member of the Methodist Church and of the Oddfellows organization.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Zelma Machen Kiely; one stepson, James David Lyles of Midland, Texas; and two step-grandchildren.
