Wilda J. Hoffke
(October 25, 1928 - November 17, 2013)

LAFAYETTE -- Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 21, 2013 at 12:00 p.m. in Evangeline Memorial Gardens Chapel in Carencro for Wilda J. Hoffke, age 85, the former Wilda Jackson, who passed away Sunday, November 17, 2013 at 8:45 a.m. at her residence in Lafayette.

Interment will be in Myrtle Grove Cemetery in Opelousas. The Rev. Nick Peters, pastor of First Baptist Church in Carencro, will officiate at the services.

Mrs. Hoffke was a native of Melville and a resident of Lafayette. She was a sales representative with Avon for over twenty years and was a manager at Toby's Oak Grove Restaurant in Lafayette. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Lafayette. Mrs. Hoffke was active with the Abbey Players and the Lafayette Community Theater being frequently called upon by visiting Hollywood names. She received the prestigious Avon-President's Club Award.

Survivors include her husband, Vern Hoffke of Lafayette; one son, Kenneth Holleman of Lafayette; one daughter, Francis Primeaux of Erath; five grandchildren, Christy Roberts, Judy Mayfield, Donny Doyle, Stephen Holleman and Kort Boring; numerous great grandchildren; and two sisters, Geraldine McIntyre of Baton Rouge and Genia Anne George of Roaring Gap, NC.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Blanks Jackson and the former Wilda Clark; one son, Marshall Holleman, Jr.; one grandson, Robert Doyle; and one brother, G.D. Jackson.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 9:00 a.m. Thursday until service time on Thursday.
