BERGERON, MRS. SAMMY J. SR. (Nee: NELL COX)

Died at 2:45 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 12, at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital. She was 47, a native of Baton Rouge and a resident of 2302 North 20th St.

Body at Rabenhorst Funeral Home at 8 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Friday. Religious services at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Anthony Catholic Church, conducted by the Rev. John C. Timms. Interment in Roselawn Cemetery.

Survived by her husband, Sammy J. Bergeron Sr.; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. James W. Cox, Jonesboro; one son, Joseph Bergeron, Baton Rouge; two sisters, Mrs. Howard B. (Margaret) Witter, Baton Rouge, and Mrs. Prentis (Iva) Talbert, Deweyville, Tex., and two brothers, Thomas Wayne Cox, Jonesboro, and James Walter Cox, Reno, Nev.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Mrs. Lurline Pfeifer.

She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church.

Pallbearers are St. Clair J. Bergeron Jr., Craig Dupuy, Boyd Gautreaux, Gregory Leggio, Ray V. Pfeifer and Dr. Howard B. Witter.
