Mr. Will Creel of McGrawtown was badly hurt in Klondyke mine on Monday. We understand that one leg was broken and one foot was so badly crushed that a toe had to be amputated. We have been unable to learn how the unfortunate accident occurred, except that it happened while Mr. Creel was at his work. His many friends will regret to hear of his misfortune.

Mr. Will Creel, who has been in failing health for the past several months, has seemingly gotten much worse. For the last few days he has suffered more. Mr. Creel has been very attentive to the sick and distressed in our community, always willing to lend a helping hand in time of need. Now his work is over, at least for the time, and it is our duty to help him with our kind words, friendsly visits, and especially with our prayers.
